This page will detail the proposed order of events
and keep you up to date with current progress. It is intended that over the weekend of 29/30 November 2008 the CJS Website will move from one host to another. This also involves the transfer of email addresses. If everything runs according to plan you should not notice any difference. However, after the chaos of the last enforced move, this time we're putting contingency plans in place. In case of problems we have an alternate email address: CJSWeekly@googlemail.com If you try our normal email (ranger@ countryside-jobs.com) and do not receive a response with one working day please contact us either by phone or preferably using the alternate googlemail address. 17 November: First advance notice of impending transfer published in CJS Weekly. 24 November: Second advance notice of impending transfer published in CJS Weekly. 28 November (1 December): Third notice warning of impending transfer published in CJS Weekly. 28 November: Warning notices posted on every page of the website and autoresponders added to email accounts. 28 November: Back up page for subscribers created with links to files of 1 December edition. That's it, we've handed everything over the technical team and now fingers crossed. 1 December: Well, it all seems to have gone reasonably smoothly. Some service providers are taking longer than others to find the new location but most people have now got the new location. Our emails are now transferred to the new server but we're warned that a couple sent yesterday may have been dropped between the two hosts. Now we're removing the warning banners from the pages, they'll be gone by the end of the day. 2 December: some of the ISPs (notably BT) are taking a long time to find the new location for the website. If all you get is a 'not found at this location' error message please use the mirror site at: www.cjservice.co.uk
